Event Agreement

Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 9, 2026 • Mountain View, California

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern event inquiries, quotes, bookings, and catering services provided by Pourin' with Loren (“Company,” “we,” or “us”) to clients (“Client” or “you”) booking our mobile V60 and Aeropress coffee services. By submitting a date inquiry or confirming an event reservation, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Overview

Pourin' with Loren provides private, pop-up specialty coffee catering—featuring hand-brewed V60 pour-overs, Aeropress extractions, and specialty coffee tasting flights—servicing private residences, small team events, and backyard celebrations within Mountain View, Los Altos, Sunnyvale, and the surrounding San Francisco Peninsula.

2. Quotes, Date Reservations & Deposits

  • Inquiries: Submitting a form on pourinwithloren.com is a request for availability and does not constitute a confirmed booking.
  • Date Reservation Retainer: Because we accept a limited number of events each Saturday and Sunday, dates are held only upon receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit alongside a confirmed event agreement.
  • Final Balance: The remaining 50% balance is due forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled event start time unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Weather Policy

  • Client Cancellation: Cancellations made at least fourteen (14) days prior to the event date may apply the 50% deposit toward a rescheduled weekend date within six (6) months, subject to availability. Cancellations made fewer than fourteen (14) days prior result in forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Inclement Weather / Outdoor Events: For outdoor and backyard events, Client is responsible for providing adequate overhead cover (e.g., patio awning, canopy tent, or indoor backup space) in the event of rain or excessive wind. Service will not be conducted in exposed rain due to electrical brewing equipment.

4. Venue & Electrical Requirements (Client Responsibilities)

Essential Setup Needs: Our brewing setup relies on electric precision kettles. Client agrees to provide:
  • A dedicated, standard 120V / 15-Amp household electrical outlet within 20 feet of the service location.
  • A sturdy, level table or counter space (minimum 4 to 6 feet in length) capable of supporting brewing gear.
  • Clear, safe access to the setup area at least thirty (30) minutes prior to scheduled beverage service for equipment calibration.

5. Food Safety, Ingredients & Allergen Disclaimer

We take food hygiene and beverage safety seriously. However, please be advised:

  • Dairy & Plant Milks: We may offer organic whole milk as well as plant-based alternatives (such as oat milk and almond milk). While we wipe and sanitize steam pitchers and preparation stations, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
  • Client Notice: Client is responsible for advising their guests regarding potential allergen exposures, including tree nuts (almonds) and dairy.

6. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by California law:

  • Pourin' with Loren is not liable for electrical failures, circuit breaker trips, or power surges caused by Client venue wiring or shared electrical circuits.
  • Company’s total aggregate liability arising out of or related to any booking shall not exceed the total fees paid by Client for the specific event.
  • In no event shall Company be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages. Client agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Company against any third-party claims arising from guest conduct at the event.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising from event services or website use shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.

8. California Consumer Notice

Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California website users are entitled to the following specific consumer rights notice: The Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.
